DHA and Hamdan Foundation to collaborate on healthcare education, training, research and innovation

Sheikh Rashid bin Hamdan Al MaktoumSupreme Chairman of the Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation for Medical and Educational Sciences, witnessed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Dubai Health Authority (DHA) and Hamdan Foundation.

The signing occurred outside of the participation of both institutions in the 49th Arabic health medical exhibition at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

The MoU aims to enhance relationships and exchange of experiences in the fields of education, medical training, specialized research, excellence and innovation.

The signing was attended by Awad Saghir Al Ketbi, Director General of the DHA, and Dr. Khalifa Al Suwaidi, Secretary General and CEO of the Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation for Medical and Educational Sciences, along with other officials from both entities.

The MoU opens new horizons and creates opportunities to implement joint projects and initiatives between DHA and the Foundation in the next phase. It also includes the exchange of experiences, the transfer of knowledge, the organization of conferences, seminars, scientific forums and specialized training programs. This aligns with the priorities of the health sector and the notable transformations and advances it is experiencing.

It also stipulates the exchange of technical support and consultations, valuable publications and opens the field for joint research and studies. Allows the publication of successful research in journals published by the DHA.

After signing, Awad Al Ketbi stated that the policy of DHA and its methodology implies openness to all distinguished local and global institutions and authorities. This serves the development of the health sector and realizes Dubai’s aspirations to achieve a better health future for ourselves and generations to come.

The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding with this leading institution is set to achieve many objectives that serve the health system and also the field of research, as the authority continually seeks to raise its standards.

Al-Ketbi He also highlighted the authority’s gratitude for this collaboration, describing it as a fruitful cooperation and an important door towards a solid partnership with the foundation. This partnership aims to achieve more ambitious initiatives, especially with the availability of the experience element for both parties.

Dr. Al Suwaidi He added that the Hamdan Foundation continues the journey of its late founder, Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoumand defends its social responsibility towards the medical sector. This commitment is demonstrated through the launch of incentive awards, support for medical research, and program innovation aimed at driving institutional efforts toward achieving their goals.

Dr. Al Suwaidi emphasized that the signing of the MoU with DHA will support the objectives of both parties and open avenues of cooperation in various areas related to health awareness, enriching medical research and ensuring quality performance in this vital sector.
