11th World Government Summit in Dubai brings together world leaders to shape the governments of the future

More than 85 international and regional organizations will participate in the 11th edition of the World Government Summit, which will be held from February 12 to 14, 2024 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, under the theme “Shaping the governments of the future ”.

Participating organizations will address current and future global challenges and forge solutions to ensure a more developed, prosperous and secure future in various sectors.

More than 27 heads of organizations will participate in keynote sessions at the 2024 summit, focusing on six pressing themes, including accelerating and transforming government, artificial intelligence and the next frontiers, reinventing development, and economies of the future. , societies and education of the future, sustainability and New global changes and priorities of urbanization and global health.

Heads of organizations participating in this year’s summit include Professor Klaus Schwab, founder and president of the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos; Ajay Banga, president of the World Bank Group; Kristalina Georgieva, Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund; Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary General of the Arab League; Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council; Haitham Al Ghais, Secretary General of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC); and Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, Director General of the World Health Organization (WHO).

Likewise, the list of speakers from international and global organizations includes Rafael Mariano Grossi, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA); Mokhtar Dayoub, Managing Director of the International Finance Corporation (IFC); Fahd bin Mohammed Al Turki, Director General and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Arab Monetary Fund; Mathias Cormann, Secretary General of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD); QU Dongyu, Director-General of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO); Audrey Azoulay, Director General of UNESCO; in addition to the participation of the UN Refugee Agency UNHCR and the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA).

More than 15 global forums will be organized by the World Government Summit 2024, some of which are organized in collaboration with international and regional organizations. These forums include the global health forum, which focuses on the deep connection between urbanization and global health; The Arab Tax Forum, which sees debates that support social and economic development in Arab countries; The Advanced Industry and Technology Forum whose objective is to explore emerging trends and technological advances, and their impact on various sectors.

He Organization of the World Summit of Governments wishes to strengthen cooperation with international and regional organizations. The organization’s delegation recently embarked on a tour of several world capitals, where it held a series of high-level meetings with officials from various organizations. These meetings aimed to explore opportunities to expand partnerships between the Summit and these organizations.
