Dubai authorities impose a heavy penalty on people who carry out nefarious actions with confidential government information or data, according to the Prosecutor’s Office.

The authority announced a hefty fine of not less than Dh500,000 and a jail term of not less than 7 years for violators of the rumor and cybercrime law.

According to this, persons who obtain, challenge, disclose, destroy, modify, expose or delete any confidential government information or data without authorization will face severe punishment.
