Abu Dhabi authorities have today announced road closures due to the UAE Tour men’s cycling race.
The Abu Dhabi Integrated Transport Center (ITC) said there will be rolling closures from 1pm to 4.30pm in Abu Dhabi city for the sixth leg of the tour.
The sixth stage, dubbed Aldar Stage, will see riders start at the magnificent Louvre Abu Dhabi on Saadiyat Island and finish at Abu Dhabi Breakwater.
Authorities advised motorists to familiarize themselves with road closures and urged drivers to start their trip early so as not to encounter any inconveniences along the way.

According to the map provided by ITC, the first lockdown will take place from 1:00 p.m. to 1:15 p.m., followed by the second phase from 1:15 p.m. to 1:35 p.m.
The third phase is from 1:35 p.m. to 1:40 p.m. followed by the fourth phase from 1:40 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. The fifth phase will be from 1:45 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. and the sixth phase from 2:45 p.m. to 2:15 p.m.
The seventh phase will take place from 2:15 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. and the eighth phase from 2:30 p.m. to 2:45 p.m.
The ninth phase will close from 2:45 p.m. to 2:50 p.m., followed by the tenth phase from 2:50 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. The eleventh phase will be from 3:00 p.m. to 3:10 p.m., followed by the 12th phase from 3:10 p.m. to 3:20 p.m.
The thirteenth phase will close from 3:20 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., while the fourteenth phase will take place from 3:30 p.m. to 3:40 p.m. The fifteenth phase is from 3:40 p.m. to 3:45 p.m., followed by the 16th phase from 3:45 p.m. to 4:10 p.m.
The 17th and final phase will take place from 4:10 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
On the Aldar stage, riders will take the starting flag at the Louvre Abu Dhabi before heading to Yas Marina. They then continue west before entering the city through Khalifa City.
The course will then return to Abu Dhabi city and pass through the picturesque Al Reem Island and Al Maryah Island. They will pass Qasr Al Hosn and the competitors will launch into an exciting final sprint on the impressive Abu Dhabi breakwater. The runners will cover a distance of 138 kilometers in what is the penultimate stage of the route.
