The authority said the UAE will be affected by a surface low pressure system that will extend from the southwest and will be “accompanied by a cold westerly air mass aloft with a flow of clouds.”
From Monday (March 4) afternoon onwards, cloud cover will increase from the west. Some of these clouds will be convective and will bring rain of varying intensities along with thunder and lightning on Monday and Tuesday.
On Wednesday, the amount of rain will decrease as the cloud cover clears a bit. Temperatures will drop in the south.
Fresh to strong winds will blow during this time period, causing dust and sand and reducing horizontal visibility.
Conditions at sea will be moderate to harsh, especially with convective clouds in the Arabian Gulf and Sea of Oman.
