Abu Dhabi’s BAPS Hindu temple draws more than 65,000 pilgrims on first public Sunday – News

More than 65,000 pilgrims visited the newly opened BAPS Hindu temple in Abu Dhabi on the first Sunday for the public, according to an official statement.

When the temple was inaugurated, more than 40,000 visitors offered prayers in the morning and more than 25,000 arrived in the evening. Despite the massive crowds, the devotees gathered in groups of 2,000 and patiently stood in line, without pushing or shoving.

The visitors expressed their joy over the inauguration of the temple and praised the BAPS volunteers and temple staff for their proper management.

Sumant Rai, from Abu Dhabi, said: “I have never seen such surprising order among thousands of people. I was worried that I would have to wait for hours and not be able to do it.” darshan peaceably. But we had an amazing darshan and were extremely satisfied. Congratulations to all the BAPS volunteers and the mandir staff.”

Another pilgrim from London, Pravina Shah, also shared her experience: “I have a disability and the care provided by the staff despite the thousands of visitors was remarkable. I could see the crowds being led peacefully from one area to another.”

“I thought I would get lost in the sea of ​​people, but I was very surprised at how well the visit went. I was able to peacefully enjoy the darshan, I can’t wait until my next visit,” said Balachandran from Kerala.

According to the statement, the visitors were able to participate in the darshan of the temple and offer their prayers collectively. “Many were also amazed by the intricate architecture of the temple. The vibrant colors of the clothing worn by visitors created a sea of ​​hues, contributing to the festive atmosphere,” the statement said.

Neha and Pankaj, residents of Dubai for 40 years, exclaimed: “We have been waiting for this moment and the temple has exceeded all our expectations. It is truly a marvel. We feel blessed that we now have a place to come and offer our prayers and! Feel the spirituality!”

Piyush from Portland, US, said: “The opening of this temple is a testament to the UAE’s commitment to diversity and inclusion. It is a beautiful representation of unity between different communities.”

Louis from Mexico said: “The architecture and intricate details of the stones are amazing. I really appreciate being able to see the cultural heritage of India. People, come together!”

Sadhu Bramhaviharidas, reflecting on the historical significance of the inauguration, stated: “We are deeply grateful to the UAE leaders and local authorities for the new bus services and their comprehensive support in making this day a reality. The UAE government has also introduced a new bus route (203) from Abu Dhabi to the temple to welcome weekend visits.
