Emirates Group welcomes UAE nationals to join its Aircraft Maintenance Engineer License

He Emirates Group calls on motivated Emirati high school graduates to join its Aircraft Maintenance Engineer License (AMEL) Scholarship Programopen for admissions now, to qualify for a variety of positions in the Group’s aircraft maintenance departments.

With a promising career in aviation, candidates will receive the unique opportunity to become licensed aeronautical engineers for Emirates, the world’s largest international airline and operator of some of the most modern equipment in commercial aviation.

The group invites all students who have a strong interest in aviation or engineering or who simply like to tinker with gadgets, repair machines and equipment, as they probably have an aptitude for engineering.

Launched more than three decades ago, in 1989, the AMEL Scholarship The program has helped integrate Emiratis into Emirates’ world-class engineering division, offering them courses packed with knowledge and practical experience that allow them to contribute to the organization and its operations. So far, more than 800 Emiratis have graduated from the program and have successfully become qualified aircraft technicians and managers located at Emirates engineering facilities.

Fully sponsored by the Emirates Group, the AMEL program It will be developed in two phases over five and a half years, during which students will receive intensive theoretical and practical training. Trainees will initially receive a stipend which will then progress to full salary and benefits. Upon successful completion of the programme, graduates will receive a GCAA certificate from Emirates Engineering Training College and a higher diploma from Emirates Aviation University endorsed by the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA).

As part of the programme, candidates will receive hands-on experience working on aircraft, providing them with first-hand knowledge of maintaining Emirates’ widebody Airbus A380 and Boeing 777 fleet. Mentored by Emirates’ own experienced instructors, the program will equip Emiratis with technical expertise and soft skills to excel in the workplace, fully cultivating their capabilities.

Emirates Engineering is one of the most technologically advanced aircraft maintenance facilities in the world and supports the world’s largest fleet of Airbus and Boeing aircraft, operated by Emirates. The facility also supports fleets of thirty other airlines through third-party maintenance contracts. Setting high standards for the industry, Emirates Engineering employees are fully qualified as they manage and implement all aspects of maintenance, engineering, quality, planning and logistics.
