Fuel price rise in UAE: Fares for some Sharjah buses increase by up to 3 ADH – News

Sharjah bus fares have increased by up to Dh3 on some routes since Friday (March 1), following a 17 fil increase in the price of diesel this month.
Based on the rate matrix seen by Khaleej TimesThe bus fare from Rolla in Sharjah to Mall of the Emirates in Dubai via Al Quoz (bus route 309) has increased by Dh3, from Dh17 last month to Dh20 in March.

Intercity bus route 616 has also increased by up to Dh3, depending on the destination: from Dh8 to Dh10 for short distances; while longer distances now cost Dh30 from Dh27 last month.

Fares for bus lines 112, 114, 115 and 116 have also increased from 1 to 3 dirhams. Routes 66 and 333, however, remain unchanged at Dh6 and Dh10 respectively.
Meanwhile, the Ajman Transport Authority earlier announced a 4 fil increase in taxi fare in the emirate starting March 1. The taxi fare in Ajman is now Dh1.83 per kilometer, 4 fils higher than last month’s Dh1.79.
Higher fuel prices
Gasoline and diesel prices for March 2024 are as follows:
Super 98 petrol costs Dh3.03 per litre, down from Dh2.88 in February.
Special 95 petrol costs Dh2.92 per litre, down from Dh2.76 last month.
E-Plus 91 gasoline costs Dh2.85 per liter, compared to Dh2.69 per liter in February.
Diesel will be charged at Dh3.16 per litre, down from Dh2.99 last month.
The price of diesel in March, however, is actually 3 fils lower than the 3.19 dirhams per liter in December last year, but higher by 16 fils at the beginning of the year, when it started at 3.19 dirhams per liter on January 1.
