A 4-year-old boy died after falling from a building in Budanig, Sharjah, Emarat Al Youm reported.
The boy fell from the twentieth floor of a building in the Al Qasimia area after climbing through the window of his room without anyone in his family noticing.
Sharjah Police Commander-in-Chief Major General Saif Al Zari Alshamsi said the police operations room received a report at 4pm on Tuesday that a child had fallen from the window of the Sharjah Police. an apartment on the twentieth floor of one of the buildings inhabited by an Asian family who died immediately after falling from a high floor.
He explained to the local newspaper that the police immediately went to the scene of the accident, since the child was found lying face down and had died. At the same time, parts of his body were scattered on the ground as a result of the fall; The accident was examined and the effects removed from the scene. The body of the deceased child was transferred.
Al Shamsi further noted that when he asked his mother, she informed him that her son had fallen out of the apartment window. Her mother was inside the kitchen during the incident. Thus, a complaint was filed for gross negligence on the part of the family for not paying attention to her son and placing the child’s bed in the wrong place and in the wrong room.
This tragedy serves as a stark reminder of the importance of child safety.
