Ras Al Khaimah ruler pardons 368 prisoners ahead of Ramadan

RAS AL KHAIMAH: His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, member of the Supreme Council and ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, ordered the release of 368 prisoners before Ramadan and pledged to clear their financial obligations.
The release of the prisoners comes as part of Shaikh Saud’s interest in giving pardoned prisoners the opportunity to start a new life and achieve stability for their families.
On this occasion, Sheikh Mohammed bin Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Crown Prince of Ras Al Khaimah, gave instructions to proceed with the necessary legal procedures to implement Sheikh Saud’s decision.
Ras Al Khaimah Prosecutor General Hasan Saeed Mehaimed stated that this noble gesture by Sheikh Saud reflects his desire to give prisoners the opportunity to reintegrate into society and bring happiness to their families and loved ones during the holy month.
