Hamdan Foundation launches educational awards to recognize excellence of students, teachers and schools across the GCC

Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation for Medical and Educational Sciences has begun receiving nomination applications for Gulf-level education awards, which include three categories: Distinguished Student Award, Distinguished Teacher Award and Distinguished School Award.

Dr. Khalifa Al Suwaidi, Secretary General and Executive Director of the Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation for Medical and Educational Sciences, announced the launch of Gulf-wide educational awards. These awards aim to recognize outstanding students, teachers and institutions, supporting their achievements and creative endeavors. The Foundation seeks to serve the education sector in line with the development vision of the UAE. Nominations for the awards are open to applicants from all Gulf Cooperation Council countries until September 19, 2024. Projects will be evaluated by panels of expert judges, ensuring compliance with international standards of excellence. Applicants can apply through the foundation’s website.

For its part, Dr. Abdulrahman bin Mohammed Al Asmi, Director General of the Arab Education Office for the Gulf States, affirmed the importance of Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation for Medical and Educational Sciences awards that highlight outstanding and pioneering students, teachers and educational institutions. He added that these awards serve to improve educational performance among teachers, students, school leaders and educational institutions that play an effective role in improving the level and efficiency of education.

The previous edition of the Gulf Awards recorded a significant increase in the number of participants, with a total of 89 participants and 17 winners.

Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation Awards for Medical and Educational Sciencesestablished by the deceased Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, aim to improve the quality of the educational sector and promote excellence and talent. The awards have undergone significant development, expanding their reach regionally and internationally through strategic partnerships with global and regional organisations. Consequently, they have established themselves as one of the most prestigious awards in the educational sector, both regionally and globally.
