Ramesh Kannan, an Indian mechanical technician, won the grand prize of Dh10 million in the 262nd series of Big Ticket live draws in Abu Dhabi.
He was lucky with ticket number 056845, purchased on March 29. The winning ticket was chosen by Mohammed Shereef, winner of last month’s Dh15 million draw. However, the show’s hosts were unable to contact the winner via the Indian and UAE phone numbers listed on the ticket.
“The two numbers can’t be connected, but we’ll keep trying,” said Richard, the show’s host.

Big Ticket, the oldest sweepstakes in the region, is temporarily pausing its operations in accordance with new directives from the Gambling Regulatory Authority in the United Arab Emirates.
“Big Ticket is temporarily pausing ticket sales. We hope it is for a short time. Please continue to follow our official social media pages for updates,” Richard noted. “Hopefully we will have positive news soon.”
The sale of tickets for the next draw has been suspended since April 1. In addition, shops at Zayed International Airport and Al Ain Airport have temporarily closed. Certain functions of the official website, such as ticket purchase, login and account registration, have been disabled until further notice.
