The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) highlighted in a statement that the UAE’s contribution to this fund arises from its commitment to addressing the worsening catastrophic humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip through this multilateral cooperative approach, which set a historical precedent to help the Palestinian people. before the suspension of the maritime corridor between Cyprus and the Strip.

The Ministry stressed the importance of immediately mitigating the worsening of the catastrophic humanitarian situation in the Strip and ensuring the immediate and widespread flow of aid, delivered in a safe, unimpeded and sustainable manner, through all available channels by land, air and sea.

The Ministry affirmed that within the historic commitment to the brotherly Palestinian people, the United Arab Emirates, under its wise leadership, continues to provide critical humanitarian aid and supplies to the Strip, and believes that the maritime corridor is part of a sustained effort to increase urgent flow of aid and goods through all avenues and mechanisms, while ensuring the protection of relief workers.
