Eid Al Fitr in UAE: Free parking schedules announced across emirates for 9-day holiday – News

Residents of the UAE are celebrating one of the most anticipated occasions of the year, Eid Al Fitr, and as the streets, parks, shopping malls and markets see an influx of visitors enjoying the longest break of the year.

In the festive spirit, authorities in different emirates have announced free parking on certain days.

The details of the announcements are below:




Abu Dhabi

Public parking in Abu Dhabi will be free from Monday, April 8 to Sunday, April 14 on the occasion of Eid Al Fitr, according to the Integrated Transport Center of the UAE capital.

Paid parking will resume as usual on Monday, April 15.

Dubai

Motorists have been enjoying free parking in Dubai since Sunday, April 7 (which is the usual free parking day) and this will be extended until Friday, April 12, giving them a total of six days of free parking. .

Rates will resume on Saturday, April 13.

Sharjah

The Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority has announced that parking will be free on the first, second and third days of Eid Al Fitr. This means residents will not have to pay for parking on Wednesday, April 10, Thursday, April 11, and Friday, April 12.

However, charges will continue to be charged in parking areas with blue signs. These spaces are subject to payment every day of the week, including Fridays and holidays.

Ajman

Residents will be exempt from paying a parking fee in all parking lots from Shawwal 1 to Shawwal 3. Therefore, parking will be free from Wednesday, April 10 to Friday, April 12.

Regular rates will resume on Saturday, April 13.
