Dubai Silicon Oasis wins four awards at the Financial Times fDi magazine’s Global Free Zones of the Year Awards 2023

Dubai Silicon Oasis (DSO), the economic zone for knowledge and innovation and member of the Dubai Integrated Economic Zones Authority (DIEZ), has received four awards from the Global Free Zones of the Year awards by the Financial magazine’s fDi Times.
The prizes are Global Free Zone of the Year for SMEsyes, the Free Zone of the Year in the Middle East for SMEsranks fifth in the The 10 main global free zones of the year 2023and an honorable mention for Catalysing R&D.
The award, which is the most prestigious accolade a free zone can achieve, serves as a testament to DSO’s exceptional performance throughout 2022/23 and its efforts to support and enable the success of its business community.

Notably, UAE free zones earned six places among fDi’s top 10 global free zones of the year 2023. More than 60 free zones around the world were evaluated according to a set of multidisciplinary criteria. The awards were judged by both the Financial Times’ specialist editorial team and a panel of independent judges for each region.
The team scored each nomination in categories including strategy, infrastructure development, and promoting sustainability and ESG projects.
