Dubai International Airport to welcome 4.4 million passengers this festive season

Dubai Airports announced that Dubai International Airport (DXB), the world’s largest and most connected international airport, is prepared for the peak season and ready to facilitate a wide range of offers this festive season.

DXB will welcome some 4.4 million passengers through its doors between December 15 and 31with an average total daily traffic of 258,000.

The center is preparing for an exceptional increase in guest numbers on Friday, December 22, the busiest day at the airport, welcoming some 279,000 passengers.

As Dubai continues to establish itself as a popular winter destination, an increase in arrivals is expected during the last two weekends of the year, with half a million passengers, mainly point-to-point traffic, expected to arrive in six days. from December 22 to 24 and from December 29 to 31.

At Terminals 1, 2 and 3, the airport will host a number of activities, from a 3D photo opportunity in a giant snow globe and visits from a variety of festive entertainers handing out chocolates and other gifts, to the opportunity to welcome little travelers to meet Santa and his elves and receive special gifts.
