The Sharjah government on Sunday launched its new brand and campaign, ‘Your Sharjah’, which takes a look at the northern emirate’s successful growth over the past 52 years.
The brand’s new logo, which features windows in the design, shows ample space for residents and visitors to explore and discover the tourist destinations and fantastic things happening in the emirate.

“Sharjah has grown rapidly over the past 52 years since Sheikh Dr. Sultan Bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, member of the Supreme Council and ruler of Sharjah, led the emirate. And it was time to find a way to encompass all of that with a new, modern brand. This identity is something that people can identify with. It is there with the slogan of the essence of our emirate which is ‘Your Sharjah’,” said Sheikh Fahim Bin Sultan Bin Khalid Al Qasimi, executive chairman of the Department of Government Relations in Sharjah.
A multi-departmental team of Sharjah government entities participated in the campaign to arrive at the new brand.
“There was a lot of hard work by a dedicated team to find a new logo and identity that showcases all the fantastic things happening in Sharjah as a tourist destination, as a thriving economy for investment for regional and global trade, and a rich culture and heritage. that we can discover in Sharjah,” said Sheikh Fahim, adding that “it is not easy to develop a brand when Sharjah has so much history.”
Responding to a question about whether the emirate’s popular slogan, ‘Smile, you are in Sharjah’, still exists, he replied with a smile: “With the number of smiles we have in Sharjah, it is very difficult not to say ‘Smile.’ in Sharjah.” If I add, it would be “Smile, you are in your Sharjah” because the emirate has something for everyone, whether you are here to discover fantastic beaches, heritage, archaeological sites and educational institutes.” she added.
