Dubai has maintained its ranking among the top five global maritime centers in the International Maritime Center Development Index (ISCD) 2023 for the fourth consecutive year. The city also ranked first in logistics and shipping services in the Arab world, according to the latest report published by the Baltic Trade and Shipping Exchange and the Xinhua Agency of the China Economic Information Service.

The report ranks Dubai fifth among the top 20 international hubs for commercial shipping, ahead of Rotterdam, Hamburg, Athens/Piraeus, Ningbo/Zhoushan and New York/New Jersey. Dubai is the only Arab city on the list. Singapore, London, Shanghai and Hong Kong occupied the top four spots in the Index.
