Abu Dhabi and Dubai are among the best destinations for people looking to work remotely during the winter. The capital of the United Arab Emirates ranked first as a destination for remote workers, with 10.2 hours of sunshine between October and February, while Dubai ranked fourth.

This appeared in a research note published by Business name generator. The study compared 50 of the world’s most famous cities, analyzing metrics including WiFi speed, monthly cost of living for nomads, average rental prices, quality of life score, hours of sunshine in winter, the temperature in winter and the average flight time from London.

Also known as “digital nomads,” remote workers work virtually from the destination of their choice. Digital nomads move to warmer areas when winter approaches to escape the cold weather.

With average winter temperatures of 22.6°C, the United Arab Emirates is the perfect place to fly.

The UAE government launched a remote work visa in 2021 that allows employees to live in the Emirates while working for companies based in another country. Applicants applying for the one-year remote work visa must provide evidence that they work for an organization outside the UAE and receive a monthly income of $3,500 (Dh12,845) or its equivalent.

The capital of the United Arab Emirates can be reached from London in less than eight hours.

“The Abu Dhabi remote work visa will allow them to benefit from the capital’s paradisiacal beaches, warm climate and high quality of life.”

the studio said.

The study added that digital nomads flocking to Dubai should pack their summer clothes in preparation for one of the highest average winter temperatures.

“They will also need plenty of sun protection, as the city enjoys an average of 8.6 hours of sunshine a day in the winter months.”

He said.

The emirate also offers

“commuters with low crime rates, clean streets and pioneering infrastructure.”

The other cities that made it to the top 10 are Singapore, Orlando, Houston, Buenos Aires, Melbourne and Lisbon.

Meanwhile, New York, Zurich, Boston, Seattle and London turned out to be the most expensive cities for digital nomads.
