New law on Dubai emblem: a fine of up to Dh500,000 will be imposed for improper use

According to the law, the emblem can be used on various government facilities, documents, websites and during government events. Private entities may also use it, provided they obtain prior approval from the Ruler of Dubai or his representative.

Misuse of the emblem may result in sanctions and punishments, which may include imprisonment for a period of not less than three months and not more than five years, and a fine of between 100,000 and 500,000 dirhams, or one of the two penalties. as specified in the Law.

The law also specifies that persons, other than government entities or entities that have been granted permission to use the emblem, who use the emblem when this Law comes into force must completely discontinue its use within 30 days. , unless they have obtained prior approval.

The Chief Justice of Dubai will issue the necessary decisions to implement the provisions of this Law. This Law supersedes any other legislation that may contradict it and comes into force from the date of its publication in the Official Gazette.
