‘It is a great honor to represent the UAE’: Election winner vows to keep campaign promises – News

Joyous scenes unfolded as preliminary results of the UAE Federal National Council (FNC) elections were declared at the Abu Dhabi Energy Center on Saturday night.

The winning candidates, who were present at the scene, pledged to work for the betterment of society.

Mudhia Salem Al Menhali, a candidate who won in Abu Dhabi, is eager to fulfill her campaign promises and make a positive impact on the community.

“The feeling after winning is great,” Al Menhali said. Khaleej Times.

“When a person has the opportunity to represent their country, it is a great honor. I have established my goals and visions throughout my campaign. I hope to develop and achieve those goals,” she said after garnering 2,448 votes.

Al Menhali seeks to contribute in areas of culture, youth, health, women’s empowerment, education and social issues. Its main objective remains to improve Emiratization in the private sector.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai, congratulated the nation on the success of the elections.

“We congratulate the people of the Emirates on the success of their parliamentary trip. We congratulate the winners of the elections to the Federal National Council.

“We always affirm that the legislative, executive and judicial authorities of the state and all government teams in all sectors will remain united to build the best future for the people of the Union. May God grant everyone success in serving the country and the town”. Sheikh Mohammed posted on platform X.

As many as 175,487 votes were registered in the 2023 FNC elections, compared to 117,592 votes in 2019.
