Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed tours AccessAbilities Expo in Dubai

AccessAbilities Expo 2023 attracted the participation of 250 international exhibitors, brands and rehabilitation centers from more than 50 countries.

Sheikh Mansoor was briefed on the latest assistive technologies that can improve the quality of life of determined people and enable them to play their role in building their communities.

On the occasion, Sheikh Mansoor said that industry leaders from around the world were able to come together at the event to showcase their innovative products, services and advanced technical solutions designed to improve the lives of determined people. This underlines Dubai’s emergence as a center of excellence for technologies and solutions serving this community.

The organization of the event also reflects the unwavering dedication of the UAE and its leaders to this vital segment of society and the strong desire to promote solutions, initiatives and ideas that empower them, he noted.

Sheikh Mansoor also highlighted the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai, to provide determined people with comprehensive care and support so that they can contribute to the development of the country in various sectors. Furthermore, he highlighted the pioneering and exemplary role played by the UAE in ensuring a dignified life, complete social integration and ample opportunities for determined people to fulfill their roles in society.

Sheikh Mansoor visited the wards of the Dubai Health Authority and the Dubai Ambulance Services Corporation, where he received information about a specially equipped ambulance with a sensory room to cater to the needs of people of determination and people with autism. The ambulance is considered the first of its kind in the world and is designed to provide a friendly environment for children with autism.

Sheikh Mansoor also visited the Dubai Police Pavilion, where he received an overview of the smart services they offer to determined people, showing the entity’s commitment to this important segment of society. He then headed to the Zayed Higher Organization pavilion, where he learned about the crafts and organic agricultural products created by his students on his farms.

Concluding his visit, Sheikh Mansoor was briefed on an innovative car designed to accommodate determined people. The car, a pioneering initiative in the United Arab Emirates, was originally customized in Dubai by a team of Australian engineers. It has an electronic lifting mechanism, designed to facilitate the boarding of people with mobility problems, eliminating the need for them to ascend using a self-propelled escalator.

The three-day exhibition is considered the largest specialized platform in the Middle East, serving more than 50 million determined people living in the region.
