TDRA introduces ‘GovSign’ initiative to optimize digital document management

He Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority (TDRA) has launched the “GovernmentSign“Initiative, designed for the management and approval of documents and correspondence addressed to federal government entities integrated with the Federal Network (FedNet) on the digital government platform.
Revealed during GITEX, The new initiative introduced by TDRA presents an automated system for the authentication and approval of digital documents at all stages of their transmission, starting from the sender and concluding at their final destination. Through this initiative, TDRA aims to raise government efficiency and improve the uses of the UAE Pass and digital signature in digital transactions. In addition, it aims to offer federal government entities valuable experiences and tools for the management and approval of documents and correspondence, inspired by successful practices in the private sector. This knowledge will allow them to choose the most appropriate methods to manage government operations and provide customer services.
Majed Sultan Al Mesmar, Director General of TDRA, saying,
“The introduction of the GovSign initiative today marks a significant enhancement of our end-to-end digital system, aligning with the principles of the ‘We, UAE 2031’ vision, with a particular emphasis on the fourth pillar, focused on creating an ecosystem of future. This initiative is unique and offers a set of features to FedNet services. It offers remarkable flexibility, quick responsiveness, cost-effectiveness and seamless integration with UAE Pass. Additionally, it instills users with a high level of confidence in the electronically signed services it offers, underlined by the fact that all digital tools within this new service are hosted entirely on FedNet servers. The GovSign initiative also shows an exceptional level of reliability, since documents and correspondence signed with a digital signature in this system obtain full legal validity. This is underlined by the fact that all operations within this service strictly comply with the laws and regulations applicable to digital services.”
He GovernmentSign The initiative is part of TDRA’s commitment to leveraging smart, innovative solutions to improve FedNet performance. All UAE federal government entities will have the opportunity to transparently and securely use this integrated platform for electronic signatures, ensuring legally binding results.
