Highly trained team
DNA It spares no effort in the comprehensive training of its team of 200 people. Their dedicated agents are well-versed in the art of ensuring that unaccompanied minors, ages five to 12, feel safe and comfortable during their trip to the airport. This involves skillfully selecting appropriate conversation topics and providing informative guidance for a smooth and expected experience for young passengers.
Agents are meticulous in ensuring that all personal documents are correct, from the identification of the guardian delivering or collecting the minor to perfect delivery to the cabin crew.
Exclusive lounge
DNA also operates an exclusive lounge for unaccompanied minors at Dubai International (DXB) Terminal 1. The facility offers a safe, comfortable and entertaining space for young travelers to relax and play before their flights.
It operates 24 hours a day and is equipped with entertainment screens and a variety of toys to keep younger guests occupied. Lounge staff work closely with airline colleagues to ensure unaccompanied minors are in good hands and arrive at their gate on time.
30% increase in demand
DNA extends its exceptional services to over 145 partner airlines at Dubai’s two airports, Dubai International (DXB) and Dubai World Central (DWC). This year alone, dnata’s highly trained agents have assisted more than 6,000 unaccompanied minors from check-in to boarding at DXB and DWC. These numbers are set to skyrocket even further, with a staggering 30% year-on-year increase predicted from 2022 figures.
