United Arab Emirates: Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid receives delegations attending ICAO and ITU conferences in Dubai

Sheikh Mohammed praised the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) for its efforts to promote low-carbon and sustainable aviation fuels. This aligns with the UAE’s efforts as the nation stands out as a key global aviation hub. The topics addressed at the third ICAO Conference on Aviation and Alternative Fuels are of crucial importance in shaping a sustainable future for the global aviation and travel industry, he said.

Sheikh Mohammed also highlighted the long-standing relations between the UAE and the International Telecommunication Union (IITU). He praised the objectives of the World Radiocommunication Conference, which began in Dubai with the participation of more than 4,500 government officials from 193 countries.

Sheikh Mohammed also highlighted the aspirations of the United Arab Emirates, particularly through its leadership of the Arab Group in dialogues related to the region under the umbrella of the ITU. The UAE aims to play a positive role in shaping international consensus on essential frequencies for the future, especially with regard to smart cities.
