RTA showcases Dubai innovation at the ITS World Congress in Suzhou, setting the stage to host the 30th edition.

He Roads and Transportation Authority (RTA) I participate in the 29th World Congress on Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS World Congress) in Suzhou, China, to stay abreast of the latest developments and technologies in the mobility sector and promote Dubai’s readiness to host the 30th edition of the (ITS World Congress) in September 2024.

During the event, Mousa Al Raeisi, Director of Strategy and Technology Governance of the Corporate Technical Support Services Sector, RTA, received the 2024 ITS World Congress Host Shield Trophy from the Mayor of Suzhou and members of the European Intelligent Transportation Systems Organization. In addition, the RTA delegation had the opportunity to meet with the Head of Transportation of the Chinese city of Suzhou and the mayor of the South Korean city of Gangneung, which will host the ITS World Congress 2026.

RTA’s participation in the 29th World Congress on Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS World Congress) in Suzhou, China, demonstrates Dubai’s readiness for smart mobility, digitalization and sharing of experiences in intelligent transportation systems.

RTA has confirmed that the upcoming event is designed to review the most critical developments in transportation systems and showcase Dubai’s pioneering vision of harnessing technology and innovation to enhance the transportation sector and improve quality of life and sustainability. The conference will also focus on promoting collaboration between the government and private sectors to provide better solutions to city transportation challenges, as well as enhance cooperation and exchange of ideas in the field of developing intelligent transportation systems.

He Dubai World Trade Center will host the ITS World Congress and Exhibition of September 16 to 24, 2024, focusing on intelligent transportation systems. The event aims to attract approximately 20,000 visitors, including specialists in this field. The exhibition will feature more than 500 companies from more than 100 countries representing various sectors. The conference will include 700 different sessions such as keynote sessions, supplementary sessions and workshops, as well as technical visits to around eight sites or projects in Dubai. The event will host 250 speakers from different sectors to discuss the latest advances in intelligent transportation systems.
