Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council, visited the Hatta Festival on Friday.

During the tour, Sheikh Hamdan ordered that the event be organized annually, taking advantage of Hatta’s position as a tourist center that attracts people from all over the world. The inaugural edition of the event, organized by Brand Dubai, will conclude on December 31.

Sheikh Hamdan was briefed on the variety of events and activities organized as part of the festival, which is held simultaneously with the third edition of the Dubai Destinations campaign. He appreciated the idea behind the festival and its aim to showcase Hatta as a unique and authentic destination offering exceptional tourist sites, natural sights, cultural events, sporting activities, dining experiences and luxury resorts.

Sheikh Hamdan said that the visionary leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai, serves as a great inspiration for initiatives aimed at promoting the development model. He also highlighted that the Hatta region has become a paradigm of economic development and investment in youth capabilities, ultimately contributing to the collective well-being of the region.

He highlighted Dubai’s unwavering commitment to developing tourism destinations in accordance with the highest global standards and in harmony with the distinctive cultural characteristics of local communities.

Sheikh Hamdan said that the various campaigns and programs carried out in Dubai during the winter season are mainly aimed at promoting the concept of family attractions, attracting local and international visitors and tourists in equal measure and consolidating Dubai’s position as a leading destination worldwide.

“I visited the Hatta Festival and had the opportunity to enjoy its various events and activities. I am delighted by the projects that benefit residents of the region, especially young people, and I am also pleased to witness the enthusiastic participation of families enjoying Hatta’s unique winter atmosphere. We are committed to further developing the Hatta region and showcasing its rich history to the world. “The Hatta Festival adds significant value to Dubai’s global position and tourist appeal,” he stated.

“We issue directives to organize the Hatta Festival annually, providing all resources to build on the success achieved in the inaugural edition of the festival. Our goal is for all areas of Dubai to be seen as destinations of choice for families and visitors to the emirate. He highlighted the important community participation in cultural, sporting and social events, as well as the creative workshops that serve various segments of society at the festival. He was also informed about the support provided by Brand Dubai to the Dubai startup community through the ‘Proudly from Dubai’ initiative. The ‘Proudly from Dubai Market’ held as part of the festival showcased 30 diverse projects, including 17 that directly benefit the youth and residents of Hatta.

Additionally, he received an update on the vision of making the Hatta Festival an annual event and a family destination that would further enhance Dubai’s position on the global tourism map.

During the visit, Sheikh Hamdan toured some of Hatta’s main tourist attractions, including the Al Sharea area, Hatta Heritage Village and Leem Park, the focal point of the festival, which covers an area of ​​three hectares in the heart of the mountainous terrain of Hatta. Hatta. The lake offers visitors privileged views of impressive landscapes and sunsets in the middle of the mountains.

During the tour, Sheikh Hamdan also received an overview of various projects initiated by young residents of Hatta and the festival itself served as a perfect platform to promote their products. He also visited the GoGravity project, the first and only outdoor zorbing track in the Middle East that was launched in 2018 by two brothers, Khalifa and Ahmed Al Bedwawi.

The #DubaiDestinations campaign was launched by the Dubai Media Council, following the directives of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Media Council, in collaboration with various governments, semi-government and private companies, along with the participation of Dubai’s creative community. The campaign highlights the unique places, activities and attractions that make Dubai one of the world’s most loved winter getaways.
