DEWA received 7,885 applications for electricity connection in 2023. This is a new indicator of the strong performance of all economic sectors in Dubai and DEWA’s continuous efforts to support the sustainability of Dubai’s growth and development.

Al Namoos (Emirati word for the winner of a race) allows electrical connection for projects of up to 150 kilowatts in just two steps and in five days. DEWA Accredited consultants and contractors can submit applications digitally via the DEWA website and smart app.
Rashid Bin Humaidan, Executive Vice President of Power Distribution at DEWAhe said that DEWA launched the Al Namoos service in line with its continued efforts to improve business performance and as part of a facilitation package for industrial, commercial and residential projects. He noted that as of December 31, 2023, the number of consultants and contractors accredited by DEWA reached 2,541.
