Dubai launches government’s Future Work Accelerator program to develop and adopt best practices

Dubai Future Foundation (DFF), in collaboration with Dubai Government Human Resources Department (DGHR), announced the launch of the Government Future Work Accelerator Programto support Dubai government entities in adopting best labor practices to keep pace with workplace transformations, strengthening Dubai government’s readiness for the future.

The program was created in line with the objectives of the Dubai Social Agenda 33launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubaito improve the social well-being of government sector employees and improve work-life balance.

The program will be facilitated by Accelerators for Dubai’s future (DFA) and will involve 13 government entities, who will share best practices and knowledge on how to address current and future challenges in the field of government work. Through workshops, the program will explore topics such as automation, talent, digitalization, work-life balance, 21st century skills, job security, remote work, hiring strategies, legal structures and more.

He Government Future Work Accelerator Program It focuses on three main objectives: unifying efforts to enhance talent in the government sector; understand the challenges and changes affecting government work; and anticipate the greatest future challenges in the field of preparation of government employees.

Abdullah Ali Bin Zayed Al Falasi, Director General of the DGHR, saying,

“We are continually developing new concepts and methods of working and achieving goals that suit young talents.”

He highlighted the department’s commitment to anticipating the future of government work as well as preparing to address change and meet challenges with agility and speed in line with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

“The Human Resources Department of the Government of Dubai is working to enhance future thinking and innovation, develop human capacity and upskill employees for the jobs of the future. “This is critical to empowering our people to lead future government work efficiently by leveraging automation and digitalization, ultimately enhancing Dubai’s position as one of the most future-ready cities in the world.”

“This program will accelerate the development of government work in Dubai, directly implementing leaders’ directives to make the city the best in the world in adopting innovative practices in its government sector. These advanced practices will be reflected in the quality of services and the overall performance of the government.”
