The second edition of Sharjah Light Village opened its doors to residents on Thursday, featuring a range of innovative visitor experiences including a hypersonic multimedia tunnel, inflatable bubble spheres, immersive mirror spheres and a ball pit.
The Village, which will be open until February 18 in front of Sharjah University Hall, is also home to around 50 food trucks offering a variety of fast food and barbecue options for foodies.

The hypersonic multimedia tunnel features swaths of radiant light that intertwine dynamic images, animations and compelling narratives, creating an interactive journey.
The inflatable bubble spheres are a dazzling array of rainbow-hued spheres that sparkle under the open sky, creating a spectacle of light and color.
Visitors will also enjoy the cosmic bubble experience, a fascinating space and immersive ball pool where visitors are engulfed in rolling spheres situated under an ethereal canopy of multicolored bubbles. In the tent, visitors will also enjoy Mirrors in the Sky, an immersive mirror sphere art exhibition.
Last year, 190,000 people visited Light Village.
“We hope to have a greater number of visitors this year due to the new experiences. We also doubled our investments,” said Khalid Jasim Al Midfa, chairman of the Sharjah Trade and Tourism Development Authority.
“We have 55 small and medium-sized businesses participating in Light Village, which offers many immersive experiences. Some are paid and some are free. This festival suits people of all ages,” he added.
“This entertaining family destination will serve the needs of Sharjah residents and visitors while supporting youth initiatives and national projects to stimulate the national economy. Our goal is to encourage creativity and innovation in various fields, contribute to entrepreneurship in SMEs and enhance the vitality and economic growth of our community,” he added.
