World Government Summit 2024 in Dubai announces Turkey, India and Qatar as guests of honor

The high-level delegations of the three invited countries will be led by the President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, and the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani.

The invited countries will showcase their successful government experiences and best development practices during the summit, which will bring together opinion leaders, experts and representatives from more than 85 international and regional organizations with 120 government delegations and 4,000 attendees.

Mohammad Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs and Chairman of the WGS Organization, said hosting Turkey, India and Qatar as this year’s guests of honor reflects their deep-rooted ties and strategic partnership with the United Arab Emirates.

He added that the participation of 25 heads of state reaffirms the fundamental role of the summit as a platform for international cooperation and the exchange of experiences to accelerate the progress of societies, and as an annual forum for world leaders and government officials.

Al Gergawi noted that welcoming the three countries as guests of honor is part of the summit’s mission, as an influential platform, to showcase the development experiences of different governments and promote best practices for a better future for humanity. .

Selecting Turkey, India and Qatar as this year’s guests of honor is also part of efforts to strengthen partnerships with countries that lead successful experiences in strategic sectors that serve societies.

This year’s WGS focuses on six themes and hosts 15 global forums that will explore future strategies and major transformations in key sectors through 110 interactive dialogues.

More than 200 prominent speakers, including presidents, ministers and visionaries, will share their ideas along with 23 ministerial meetings and executive sessions welcoming more than 300 ministers.
