Felix went missing during a shopping trip to Sharjah city center with his mother and sister on Saturday night, sparking a frantic search by his worried parents and Sharjah police.
However, it is unclear how it arrived at Dubai Airport’s Terminal 1, 18 kilometers from Sharjah city centre. Given the pain in her leg, Jeby Thomas suspects her son may have walked to the airport. “We didn’t ask him any questions because he was tired and needed to rest,” she said.
Feby said that the reunion occurred thanks to the vigilance of an Indian passenger bound for Kuwait, who saw Félix at the airport. “A passenger heading to Kuwait saw him at the airport. He saw the missing poster on social media only after arriving at his destination and called us. We are very relieved that he has returned.”
