UAE: New 1-month public parking subscription launched in Sharjah – News

Sharjah on Monday launched a new public parking subscription service to improve services provided to residents and businesses. This allows individuals to obtain a personal subscription for one month, covering two areas of their choice.
The new subscription adds to the range of existing options for both individuals and establishments. This fact underlines the government’s commitment to rationalize services and improve urban mobility.

A subscription entails a paid parking service upon activation, which grants the subscriber, whether an individual or a company, the right to use public parking spaces within the city of Sharjah according to the specifications of the subscription. Subscription fees fluctuate depending on the type of subscription.
The different parking subscriptions are detailed below:
Personal Parking for all areas of Sharjah City:

The exceptional parking subscription category is open only to UAE citizens who are retired, elderly or living in paid parking zones, government employees in Sharjah city, students, beneficiaries of social services, card holders homeland protection or a Waffer card.
Below are the documents necessary to obtain the exceptional parking pass:
- Emirates ID
- vehicle registration card
- Commercial license (for commercial subscriptions)
- Proof of eligibility for discounts (for exceptional subscriptions)

- Requests for exceptional subscriptions are submitted only through service centers.
Last year, Sharjah announced free parking subscriptions for determined people. This service simplified the parking process and promoted a more inclusive and accessible environment in public spaces.
This service allows season ticket holders to access free public parking and virtually link it to the parking system. By implementing this virtual linking process, eligible individuals can seamlessly access their parking benefits without physically placing the card on the windshield of their vehicles.
The authority made the process easy for the customer by eliminating the need to physically visit the municipal office. Eligible individuals can now complete the entire process online.
