Can restaurants distribute meals?

Restaurants can accept donations to prepare meals, but cannot distribute them independently. Instead, they must coordinate with charitable associations for such activities.

What else is prohibited?

They should refrain from collecting funds from family and friends to donate to charities, both nationally and internationally. Penalties for breaking the law include fines ranging between Dh200,000 and Dh500,000 and/or imprisonment.
