The Public Ministry clarifies the consequences of the unauthorized trade in fireworks

The Criminal Information Center (Waey) of the Public Ministry shared a video on social networks explaining the penalties for the illegal sale of fireworks.
According Article 54 of Federal Decree Law No. 17 of 2019, marketing, importing, exporting or manufacturing fireworks without a license can lead to a prison sentence of at least one year and a fine of at least AED 100,000. The law defines explosives as chemical compounds that react under certain conditions, including fireworks.
Article 3 establishes that the handling of weapons, ammunition, explosives or dangerous substances is not permitted without a license, except with the permission of the licensing authority.
This video aims to educate the community about the law and promote legal awareness. It is part of the Public Prosecutor’s Office’s ongoing efforts to increase the public’s understanding of the country’s laws.
