SAFER Matrix is a robust tool used by JCI to identify and categorize risk factors related to patient, staff and visitor safety. The standards are intended to promote continuous, systematic, organization-wide improvement in daily performance and patient care outcomes. Receiving this recognition within the first year of operation strengthens the position of the Fátima bint Mubarak Center as a benchmark for excellence and world-class care.
Dr Stephen Grobmyer, President of the Institute of Oncology at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, said: “We are honored that the Fatima bint Mubarak Centre, a newcomer to the UAE healthcare landscape, has been recognized by the International Joint Commission for improving the quality and safety of the medical care we provide to our patients and the community.”
He added: “This accreditation is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our multidisciplinary teams and their unwavering focus on providing the best possible care to our patients, from day one. “Being recognized by the world’s largest international accreditation body further cements our position as a healthcare leader delivering world-class care closer to home.”
Earlier this year, the Fatima bint Mubarak Center achieved another important international milestone. The center received LEED Gold from the United States Green Building Council, a globally recognized symbol of achievement and leadership in sustainability, showing its commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility.
