Dubai plans ‘Couples are free’ campaign for 2024

The one from Dubaichildren go free‘, which took place from July to August last year, was a great success among tourists. Now, the emirate plans to work with partners to launch a “couples are free” campaign in 2024.
During the previous campaign, children enjoyed free stays, free dining options and discounted packages, while making the most of a wide range of family-focused services and activities at some of Dubai’s best hotels. It also included attractions such as movie theaters, indoor sports activities, and theme parks.
“The summer program has been a success. “We launched the ‘Kids Go Free’ program this summer and it really helped us get more business.”

“But what we’re hearing is that couples’ stuff has been left out. So let’s not focus on ‘kids go free,’ but let’s also make an offer for couples. That’s something we’re really pushing.”
Kazim spoke at the Dubai City briefing on the second day of the Skift Conference held at Atlantis the Palm, attended by hundreds of travel and tourism industry representatives.

The emirate is also fast emerging as a popular wedding destination, especially for people from Asia, the Middle East and Western countries. The emirate will also host a wedding symposium in 2024.
Dubai’s tourism chief noted that group visitors are also emerging strongly.
Kazim He noted that the emirate is a value-for-money destination and therefore they are “trying to remove the perception of expensive from people’s minds.”
Helal Saeed Al Marri, Director General of the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism, said the emirate wants to ensure it is not trapped by prices. He called on travel and tourism industry players to limit opportunities for stopover travelers as well as both leisure and business events.
