[ad_1]

Dubai authorities have updated the times when trucks are not allowed on certain roads during Ramadan.

He Roads and Transportation Authority (RTA) announced that in the E11 corridor, trucks cannot circulate from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. instead of the previous 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. This rule applies to the corridor from the Sharjah border to junction number 7 on Sheikh Zayed Road, including Al Ittihad, Sheikh Rashid and Sheikh Zayed Road, as well as the central areas of Deira and Bur Dubai.

Some streets have banned truck traffic three times a day, with changes to the morning and afternoon schedules. The morning ban is now from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. and the afternoon ban is from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Trucks are always prohibited from accessing certain routes such as Al Shindagha Tunnel, Al Maktoum Bridge, Floating Bridge, Al Garhoud Bridge, Business Bay Bridge, Infinity Bridge and Airport Tunnel.

On Fridays during Ramadan, the truck ban is from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m. instead of the usual 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Previously, Abu Dhabi also updated its truck ban timings during peak hours, banning trucks from 8am to 10am and 2pm to 4pm in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain cities.
