RTA resumes Global Village bus routes and Abra electric service

Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) will restart the operation of four bus routes to serve Global Village guests in its upcoming 28th season, 2023-2024.

Services will resume on Wednesday. October 18, 2023, coinciding with the beginning of the town’s activities.

Ahmed Bahrozyan, CEO of RTA Public Transport Agencysaying:

“Bus routes would be operational again when the new Global Village season begins. RTA is launching (4) exclusive bus routes to facilitate the movement of visitors and tourists to and from Global Village.”

The four bus routes that will resume operations are: Route (102), which departs from Rashdiya Bus Station towards Global Village at 60-minute intervals. The second route is (103) and leaves from Al Ittihad Bus Station to Global Village every 40 minutes. The third is route (104) from Al Ghubaiba Bus Station to Global Village every 60 minutes. The fourth is Route (106) from Mall of the Emirates Bus Station to Global Village and the service runs at 60-minute intervals.

The fare for a one-way trip to the Global Village is 10AED. RTA deploys luxury coaches to run this service. These buses are characterized by exceptional comfort and high safety features in a way that provides passengers with a great travel experience to and from Global Village, adding to the enjoyment of individuals and families during the new tourist season.

RTA is interested in running Abra services alongside the opening of Global Village activities each year. The initiative was well received by the public in previous seasons. As such, it enhances tourism in Global Village and provides visitors with comfort and happiness.
