From the North Pole, the Claus family arrived in Dubai in full force as Expo City became a Christmas wonderland.

Shortly after world leaders wrapped up COP28, the festive village opened to residents and visitors on Friday with a 52-foot Christmas tree illuminated in the middle of Al Wasl Dome.

To the delight of the crowd, the star of the show, Santa, appeared with his entire clan to applaud everyone. Mrs. Claus was there, as were the reindeer, the gingerbread man, a team of helpful elves, and a trio of giant candy canes.

That was just the dazzling opening: residents and visitors will have time to see the gang and enjoy the snow and festive treats in the Christmas Village until January 7, 2024.

  5. Festive favorites such as hot chocolate, mince pies and gingerbread will capture the spirit of sharing, ensuring a great community experience for all visitors.
