Dubai: RTA to auction 90 special two- and three-digit number plates on December 30 – News

Super license plates AA30, T64,O48, AA555, of Dubai (RTA), the final auction of this year. The plates on offer have codes (AA- I- J- M- N- O- Q- R- S- T- U- V- W- X- Y- Z).
The auction is scheduled for Saturday, December 30. Bidder registration begins Monday, December 25. Bidding will begin at 4:30 p.m. at the Grand Hyatt Dubai.
Interested bidders can also register for the auction through the RTA website (www.rta.ae), the Dubai Drive app or any of the RTA Customer Happiness Centers in Umm Al Ramool, Deira and Al Barsha . With limited places, priority will be given to bidders and therefore pre-registration for the auction is recommended. However, registration will also be available in the auction room from 2:00 p.m.
The sale of license plates is subject to 5 percent VAT. Each bidder must have a traffic record in Dubai and deposit a security check worth Dh25,000 addressed to RTA. Bidders are also required to pay a non-refundable auction fee of Dh120 at the aforementioned customer service centres. Payment can also be made online using a credit card or the Dubai Drive app.
