Free and paid parking times in the UAE during Ramadan: everything you need to know – News

As the holy month of Ramadan begins in 2024, the United Arab Emirates has made several announcements to make daily life easier for those fasting.

From reducing working hours to capping prices of nine essential commodities, the country has taken multiple measures for UAE residents and citizens during the holy month. One of them is changing paid parking hours, which three emirates have announced so far.

To accommodate prayer times, Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah have revised paid parking timings as shown below:

Abu Dhabi

In the case of paid public parking hours in the capital, they will remain unchanged.

Paid parking hours will remain from 8am to midnight, Monday to Saturday in Abu Dhabi.

Public parking will be free on Sunday, as usual.

Dubai

For public parking, charges apply in all areas Monday through Saturday. Below are two sets of times when parking will be paid for:

First series: 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Second set: 8pm – midnight

Thus, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., public parking will be free in Dubai.

The multi-storey car park operates 24/7. The rate applies in the TECOM Parking Zone (F) from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) also announced the schedules for metro, tram, bus and sea transport.

Sharjah

Public parking will be paid from Saturday to Thursday, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. (noon).

Parking will be free on Fridays, except in blue zones.
