The Director General of the Arab Civil Aviation Organization (ACAO), Abdennabi Manar, stated that the United Arab Emirates owns approximately 40% of the aircraft fleet in the Arab region.
Speaking on the sidelines of the current third debate International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Speaking at the Conference on Aviation and Alternative Fuels (CAAF/3), Manar said the UAE’s aviation sector enjoys global confidence regionally and internationally, competing with major airlines in Europe and North America.
Highlighting the resilience and dynamism of the UAE aviation sector in the face of global crises and challenges, Well He noted that during the COVID-19 pandemic, the sector demonstrated crisis management capabilities, rapid recovery and the ability to quickly resume activities.
Well He anticipated that the UAE aviation sector would continue its upward growth trajectory, aligning with the substantial growth seen in the Arab aviation sector.
He Director General of the ACAO highlighted the importance of hosting this conference in the United Arab Emirates, which represents the country’s substantial contribution to the global aviation sector.
Well He emphasized that the conference highlights the efforts of the civil aviation sector to accelerate the production of clean fuel, contributing to reducing carbon dioxide emissions. He stated that the decisions emerging from this conference will bring real changes to the future of civil aviation and will be a key and influential focus in global efforts related to the climate neutrality agenda and sustainable development goals.
